The raw power and beauty of the mighty Sierra rising up in front of the vast expanse of the desert needs no other title. The fireworks of this January sunset lit up the entire sky and the brilliance of the last rays of sunlight exploding from behind the mountains adds to the life of this scene. Shot on Kodak Ektachrome E100 film.

The heavens opening up after a rain storm in the mountains of Glacier National Park. I was so fortunate to be in the right place at the right time, and this is one of the most breathtaking scenes I have ever witnessed and one of my fondest memories of Glacier.

This is a composite of the Milky Way panorama I took at Crater Lake and the foreground of Trillium Lake. Stars and the lake are the main elements of this photo, and star dust and water are also where life comes from.

A golden sunset after fresh rain in the mountains set fire to the hanging clouds on the snow covered peaks in Glacier National Park. This was my last day in the park during my 2019 trip and it felt like Glacier saying a fond farewell.
